CARBON BLACK or technical carbon.
The classification of this chemical compound causes many controversies. Some believe that carbon black is an organic PMU pigment, others claim the opposite.
With regard to the pigment called CARBON BLACK we are used to using the word "Sage", which is inaccurate, because the term "Sage" describes all carbon products in general (including those obtained in uncontrolled conditions).
The pigment of PMU CARBON BLACK is also a sage, but a certain specific sage called "technical carbon", which is obtained by incomplete combustion or thermal destruction of petroleum products in controlled conditions.
Sage, in a general sense, depending on the raw material and method of obtaining can be both organic and inorganic, while technical carbon is considered organic.
We will not go into controversy and consider many different theories around the definition of CARBON BLACK, because it does not present any practical value for us. The pigments of PMU from the organic or inorganic group are combined by certain qualities that are inherent in this group, while CARBON BLACK has nothing to do with any known pigment. Consider this pigment separately from others.
